About Me

IMG_5196I’ve had ups and downs over the years but I’ve since learnt that my love for writing never waned. With so much behind me, I’ve resolved to live my life to the fullest of my potential and to me, this means sharing my passion for travel with others.

Living in Singapore, it was an excellent starting point for my travels around Asia and Australia. Although I do intend to expand my travel discoveries to Europe and beyond, there is still so much more to explore, don’t you think?

Will I ever get to Europe? I chose to believe that I will…someday. In the meantime, I feed my wanderlust by catching up on others’ adventures while sharing my own stories and tips.

I love to travel to South Korea, Japan and Australia. In fact, I pretty much visit there again and again, to the consternation of my close ones (that’s their collective sigh, you hear, dear readers).

Other than that, I also happen to enjoy solo travel. You get to experience so much more when travelling alone, you should give it a try at least once.

Thank you for taking time to even check me up. You have good tastes!! 😉

Do take time to follow me on Twitter (@lifetomyfullest) if you like to get to know me better. I may sometimes act ditzy and scatterbrained…but I’m always up for a chat or even if you need someone to bring you around Singapore. 🙂

If you think you are up for more entertainment, just hit follow or subscribe for an e-mail on my next post.

You can also drop me an e-mail at lifetomyfullest@gmail.com if you have any enquiries.

Till next time ~ Sha…:)

    • Hello!! Thanks for taking time to read my blog. 🙂 It’s been pretty hot here in Singapore lately so seeing photos of your cold weather there makes me feel better…not much comfort to you I’m sure. I like yours too, please do keep posting!! 🙂

  2. Hi Sha – thanks for liking my blog. I am very much with you on trying to expand horizons and wish you the best for your journey. Incidentally, I see you are from Singapore – did you read/have any views on my blogs about Singapore? I got very little feedback, and none from anyone who lives there, so it would be interesting to hear from you.
    Cheers

    • Hello! Thanks for visiting.

I do agree that Singapore has become very much commercialized but I would say that this is only the outer shell that can be hard to crack in the short time you are here. It’s a very complicated discussion that would take a long long time, haha. This issue has been debated over and over again here.

I’m not too sure of the places that you have visited but I can suggest that you venture into the heartlands on your next trip here or at least away from the touristy areas. It is in these areas that you can find pockets of local culture in Singapore.

And we do have bookshops around…both commercial and independent ones…:)

Sorry it’s a long reply, feel free to contact me for any tips if you plan to come by again. Would be more than happy to do so…:)

    • Hello!! Yes I have! I didn’t spend too much time in a tuk-tuk though. We took one just to get down the road so that we can experience one. Haha.

  5. Hello newest Spikey! I know, a bit corny, eh, but that’s the term that has come to stick for those folk who are part of the clan known to be followers of Uncle Spike 🙂

Thank you… I really appreciate that as I for one, know how many interesting and entertaining blogs are out there.

My aim is to deliver an eclectic offering of posts, from my ‘point n shoot’ attempts at basic photography, to the sharing of my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day to day happenings here on the farm. Oh, plus a few observations on life as I see it, thrown in for good measure.

My promise to you is not to be overbearing, just a couple of posts a day, maybe 3 at weekends if I have something special to share. But if you are at a loose end one day, maybe you’ll enjoy trawling through some of my older stuff too. I have added plenty of categories to help in said digging process.

Thanks again and hope you have a great day…
